wasn't it when the girl at the beginning went skinny dipping?

Yup.

She's swimming, and it's underwater so you can't really see a whole bunch, but I'm pretty sure you can see bush.

I hadn't seen Jaws anywhere other than on TV in forever, but saw it at theaters a couple years ago, and sure enough, there was nudity on the big screen. IN a PG movie.

It really has ruined an entire genre of movies that are now toned down to get that PG-13 rating that were once R. Think of these movies today, and how they'd have been toned down to drop the R and get the PG-13:

Die Hard
Lethal Weapon
Terminator/T2
Alien/Aliens
Robocop
Predator
Road Warrior (granted, they did do a remake and went R here...)
Beverly Hills Cop

And so on, and so on, and so on...

Adults actually used to have movies geared towards them...and kids simply had to either sneak in or wait a few years to enjoy them.

Honestly, this is what made seeing Deadpool so damned enjoyable this weekend. Here was a movie that SHOULD HAVE BEEN a hard R and WAS. They didn;t tone it down to get the PG-13, ruining the character in order to get what they perceive would be a wider audience. They made the movie the way it should have been made and trusted the right audience would show up.

The rating for these films were either G, PG, or R. PG-13 didn't seem to start being used consistently until the late-90s.

Studios didn't know what to do and were afraid teens couldn't carry films...different today.

1. Jurassic Park, PG-13
2. Mr.s Doubtfire, PG-13
3. The Fugitive, PG-13
