I was holding out hope that Nolan would take on Akira as it was rumored a couple of years ago. But Bond would be great, too.

Dude Skyfall is the only Bond movie that's a legit good movie. The "good" Bond movies are fun schlock. The bad Bond movies are garbage.

From Russia With Love is a legitimately good movie. Among all genres.
In just the action genre, it's hard to beat Goldeneye.
