You know people on here bitch all the time that we don't get any good World War I movies. My response when people ask why there aren't many of them is the trenches are depressing as shite and there is no clear villain in WWI. I've just thought of a way to convey that very well and not be totally depressing as shite: make it around the Christmas Truce.

Seriously, since the birth of Christ (save for the wise men arriving which I don't think they were there for Jesus' birthday) it is the best Christmas story. Make the first half of the movie a violent horrible war movie, but then have it end on a supremely optimistic note with the Christmas Truce and them heading back to the trenches. Anything I've looked up on it they're either German or Lifetime movies about it. Just play it straight with maybe a violent battle in the first half and it could be great.

When you watch too much - you lose originality.

Everything that seems like your own idea - is just something you saw a long time ago...and your memory retreived from your vault, something buried to the basement because it's not important at the time (we never really forget anything) brought it to the frontal lobe and delivered it as your own creation.

Brain is amazing.

It can take things in the basement and reshape them to appease our inner-self - brain wants peace and happiness...can lie to you too...to get that.
