The Sandlot has long been overrated in my humble opinion. Was it a good movie? Yes. But they played that movie so many times at summer camp I finally just got tired of it. And this is coming from a guy who lived and breathed baseball in the 90s as a kid. As soon as I see The Sandlot on TV nowadays I turn to another channel. I find movies like Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, E.T., and The Goonies to be better non-animated films.
