Saw it yesterday on HBO ... Went in with low expectations based on reviews but I thought it was great. The story/plot was far enough removed from the original that it was fresh and having the old actors mixed in with the new worked for me.

The last 45 minutes was a blast. Haven't checked yet but hope they make number III.

It was one of the worst movies I have seen in a theatre.

It was fricking terrible.

I have to disagree. Even as a dump popcorn movie, it is really bad.

The only one that I really remember was the first one and I thought it was just ok.

I guess I'm the only fan of I-Day II out here!

It took everything that made the first one great and shat on it.

Now they want to have intergalactic battles....this is sharknado worthy.

Terrible film. Almost unwatchable. Can't explain how awful it is.

And what was the point of Vivica A. Fox being in the movie? She was in it for about a minute and then we are given this cheap "shock" death.

Plots in IDR:

Immortal old man with school bus and stupid children drives across entire country.

Man who died last movie isn't dead; is now most important person in movie. Talks to ball.

Will Smith gets an oil painting.

A boat watches a drill.

Jeff Goldblum hears about a better movie from an African warlord.

Boring Squadron crashes into ship; somehow doesn't get exterminated. BS steals new ships; escapes because writing.

Old man yells at clouds; dies.

Everyone save the bouncing ball! Watch out for the bug!

I wasn't really planning on watching this movie. You may have just changed my mind.

As weird as will smith is, he was smart to stay far, far away from that clusterfrick.

I thought it was fine. I don't like how they're attempting to spin this off into a franchise though.

it was pretty bad imo. not saying that the original was an oscar winner, but it was leaps and bounds better than the sequel.

was shite. I'm not overly critical of movies, but it was downright terrible.
