It took me some time to realize that Dick York
was replaced by Dick Sargent:
They even have the same first name!

Dick York and Dick Sargent. Shyeah, right, as if we wouldn't notice. Oh, hold on! Dick York, Dick Sergent, Sergeant York... Wow, that's weird.

Here's one - that may even have been unintentional on the filmmakers' part:
I've seen Risky Business - give or take, a dozen times over the past 30 years. After about 6 or 7 times, the lightbulb went on -
They're waiting at the shop, after the 928 has been extracted from Lake Michigan - the mechanic says, "Who's the U-Boat commander?"
Fine - I got that the car was underwater right away - but it was a German car - so, 6 or 7 viewings, and probably the same number of years, later - FINALLY - I got it.
So this is both "Germans" AND I was a dumbass - and really no excuse, because I was also a history major.

That's from like a long conspiracy write up. That someone pieced together.
I don't believe that's true at all

Took me at least a dozen times seeing "Dodgeball" to notice that Justin has gotten Amber pregnant by the final commercial scene at the end of the film.
I have seen this movie probably more than 20 times and I literally just realized this same thing last night when I caught it on HBO. lol

Isn't it hilarious when you finally notice?

I watched Poltergeist countless times as a youth. It wasn't until I was watching it one day in my late 20s that I realized the Freelings are smoking a joint in the bedroom when Craig T. Nelson starts doing the before/after routine in the mirror.
I also realized that I wanted to bang the wife.

I feel stupid...what are some movie facts you didn't realize for waaay too long
Until a few years ago I never noticed Ted Striker's drinking problem in Airplane was that he kept missing his mouth.
You wanna see something HILARIOUS - watch 1957's "Zero Hour!" with Dana Andrews, Elroy
"Crazylegs" Hirsch, Sterling Hayden (big boss in "9 to 5"),and Jerry Paris (Dick Van Dyke show)
Most of the script of "Airplane!" is taken directly ver batim from this movie; except that Zero Hour! was a suspense drama...

In fact, it is more or less a shot for shot remake, with the usual Z/A/Z silliness thrown in - a marriage of Kentucky Fried Theater/Movie and Zero Hour! - ever wonder why the jet had propeller sound effects in Airplane! ? Pretty sure they used the same effects from Zero Hour!.

Been watching Home Alone my whole life. It was only until this past Christmas that I realized that while cleaning up the aftermath of the pizza incident at the beginning of the movie that they accidentally threw Kevin's ticket away.

Took me a while to realize the Ty and Danny were Peter-in-laws via Lacy Underall. Thought Ty had brought home a different chick.... Kinda weird right? Danny is just out of high school and Ty is like 35, both banging the same sloot.
