I cant get a movie to scare me

Anybody know a movie that is actually scary? I dont mean just gory or violent, but psychologically scary. Please don't say Halloween, Freddy etc, I've seen em and Exorcist and Omen too. They all seem silly to me. Blair Witch scared me some. I'm looking for lesser known stuff.

The Ring is a pretty damn good flick.
And when you get past the inevitable ending you know....War of the Worlds is actually quite terrifying to imagine as a possibility.

Completely agree. Horrible movie with a horrible plot and horrible ending. I say watch Rob Zombie's "House of 1000 Corpses." It may not scare you but it will definately disturb the hell out of you.
Remember "House of 1000 Corpses" not "The Devil's Rejects." The second one was alright but does not compare to the original. SPOILER (KINDA):
Plus you get to see Dwight from "The Office" get slaughtered and turned into the fish boy.
Damn that movie is freaking insane.

This was one of the least terrifying movies ever made. If this scared you and the others didn't, it'd be hard to figure out what could actually scare you.

I'm not trying to flame, but maybe you just shouldn't watch scary movies. It's like people who don't "get" magic shows. If you don't try to give in to the story, atmosphere, etc., there is little chance you'll be scared. You are, in a sense, setting yourself up for failure.
With that said, and given you seem to respond to a more documentary approach to horror, try Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer. It's pretty intense and disturbing.
If that doesn't work, maybe you should try another genre.

I may joke a lot but the one thing I'm very scared of is the devil. I never want a direct run-in with him if I can help it.
