you misspelled Idris Elba
I'm guessing you are just trolling but there is zero chance that Idris Elba will be cast as James Bond. Black actors don't sell in China and there's no way the franchise is going to thumb their nose at a market of a billion people.

I would take that bet and take your money since "they" would never consider casting Mahershala Ali as James Bond. Ali was born in Oakland. Idris Elba is at least British.

Dunno if he could pull off bond but his captain Flint is one of my favorite characters ever.

No way a homosexual pirate can be Bond.

Quit picking old dudes.

This guy is 47.

To be fair, Connery and Moore both played Bond past the age of 50, and Craig was 47 in his last Bond. Brosnan was almost 50 the last time he played Bond.

Dalton was the only major movie Bond that didn't make it at least to his late 40s before hanging up his license to kill in favor of Metamucil coupons. If you want to count Lazenby, he was only 30 when he made OHMSS.

Moore was the oldest actor to play Bond in his first appearance in the Ion series at the ripe old age of 46. Connery was 32, Brosnan was 42, and Craig was 38.

Toby Stephens is turning 48 next month and will be 50 years old by the time the next James Bond film is released.

True, most of them started much younger. Guess it depends on how long you intend for a given actor to remain Bond. With the ever-changing Bond, this franchise is uniquely suited for testing actors without necessarily thinking a decade into the future.
