Just started Homeland after Thanksgiving and watched all the way to S3E9 within that week; all caught up now. It's not the greatest show of all time but I sure don't mind most of the things people nitpick about. The beginning of Season 3 was too slow for me but other than that, great entertainment and enjoyable for me. I love any scene with Saul while I wanna murder Carrie which makes for some bitter sweet scenes between them.

Why didn't Brody still have the cyanide with him? Why'd he have to smother old guy.

are they just going to pretend brody's son doesn't exist? i think they showed him down the hallway in one of dana's scenes in the earlier episodes of the season but brody doesn't mention anyone but dana now.

that said, i agree that this past week it finally got good this season.

Is it possible that Javadi was just completely full of shite when he told Carrie and Saul that Brody wasn't involved?

He broke it on the side of the car and discarded it after he met with Nazir's wife at her house

He threw the cyanide out the window after the attempt failed. He obviously didn't want to be caught with it.

I just caught up with the show this month. I think I came to the show with too high of expectations honestly so I'm kind of disappointed. I just think the show focuses entirely too much on Carrie and Brody personally.

Thanks.

And you think it focuses too much on the two main characters show was created on? That's like being upset Breaking Bad focuses too much on Walt and Jesse.

It's not that I don't like watching them, what I meant is that they focus too much on Carries disease. To me, the show would be much better if they got more into the terrorist organizations and the planning of attacks. I really liked the last two episodes bc they had much more action.

Seems like they could have gone that way with the show up until tonight. It really seems like they're setting him up to die, after redeeming himself.

Can't believe people are ripping on this season. It's been set up very nicely with what looks to be an explosive final 3 episodes.

Yes, there are some stretches. But if this was a 100% accurate CIA exposé, it would be boring as shite with very little action. Timeframes are sped up and some dramatic liberties are taken. All for the sake of entertainment. If these bother you, just stop watching.

Okie you do realize there is only 1 episode left to air this season, not 3?

Also, why the hell was my post deleted about the finale? I didn't post any spoilers

Season has not been good. Its a mess.

While the last few episodes have been entertaining this shw is not the perfectly calculated drama it was season 1. People were putting it in a league with Breaking Bad.

Carrie has become worthless. She fricks everything up yet they keep putting her in the field. The greatest coup in CIA history and who do you send to Tehran to run point? Carrie. The woman who was just grilled in front of a huge Senate panel. Who just got shot for fricking up another op.

And how in the frick does Brody keep getting himself alone with people? This has happened like 5 times. The head of Iran's intelligence would not let some guy who has been back and forth turncloak be alone in a room with him.

Oh and the Mossad angle.
Saul "hey, Mossad, i need your most valuable assets in Tehran to help me with something but im not telling you anything about it."
Mossad: "no prob bro"

Ridiculous

And lets not even get started on the Brody family issues.

And the new cute raghead chick who could be somewhat interesting is just a one dimensional throwaway character.

They have to kill Brody tonight to save the show and reset next season to salvage the show's future.

This. I see no logical way they continue with Brody. The character ran its course long ago. But the producers seem to be afraid to get rid of Damian Lewis.

So they tell us it's someone we thought was dead and then when we see him we have no idea who it is? And then they kill him without telling us who he is? All that lead up for nothing?

It's either the biggest fricking cop-out or that wasn't him

There is too much going on to wrap it up tonight. You have the lawyers in America, Brody's situation and the bomb mover. No way this doesn't carry over to next season.
