Home Alone reboot idea

I think it sounds dumb. But expect OML to be here shortly to tell you just how stupid it is, and then give you his script pitch idea for four paragraphs.

Yes. Picture Joe Pesci in Casino meets Home Alone. Marv and Harry's time in the pin have made them harden criminals no fooling around this time

Shortly after the Wet/Sticky Bandits are released from Prison, Kevin McAllister goes missing and is presumed dead. The grizzled old Chicago PD detective attached to the investigation thinks it's an open and shut revenge case. He plans to arrest the Bandits, then take the holidays off to try to reconcile with his estranged daughter.

But there's something eating at him, something that just doesn't add up. He digs deeper and discovers what appears to actually be a meticulously planned frame job, by the mastermind himself, Kevin.

The wet bandits are really old and desperate for one last heist but need help from a younger more experienced thief named Kevin who is a homeless drug addict never reaching his full potential.

Home Alone 2020.

Kevin gets covid and his parents move to a hotel for the week to let him quarantine. Marv and Harry break into the home to try and finish the job. Kevin shoots and kills Marv and Harry for breaking and entering. Right wing media reports the story as a boy defends himself with a weapon, saving his own life. Left wing media reports that Harry's and Marv's deaths were related covid.

Kevin is a cost guard pilot after having married the pigeon lady from the previous movie. On a routine rescue call, he discovers Marv and Harry on a life raft in the ocean. The helicopter crashes because of a tidal wave. Kevin survives and joins the two others on the life raft. Kevin learns that Marv is pregnant and that the father is drowned. Kevin and Henry help Marv give birth to a boy that they name Buzz after Kevin's late brother. After two days floating in the pacific and crazy with hunger, Harry attempts to eat lil Buzz. Kevin reluctantly drowns Harry in defense.

Three days pass and land is finally in sight, Marv gets in the water to paddle the raft to shore but is suddenly pulled underwater by Harry who had been hiding under the the raft the entire time, waiting. Kevin jumps in the water and wrestles Harry's grip from the raft but drowns himself in the process. The life raft eventually lands on the shore and a baby Buzz is discovered by the grieving pigeon lady. She finds a turtle dove wrapped up in his diaper, smiles, and carrys the baby into the home from the original movie. The ghosts of Kevin, Buzz, Marv, and Harry appear outside the home and start shouting as the screen fades into credits.
