Hmm I could see that. I would rather it be someone that we know/has a relation to some of the characters than just a random person.

Would be weird if Barney had a sister that lived in NYC this whole time and we have never seen her.

Well Ted didnt even know where Barney went to college for 8 years and still might not know so Barneys not exactly an open book which makes it possible

Is it his sister or half sister. Barney did not know his dad until a few season ago so he may not have known he had a half/sister.

It was the episode they met. He said her name, I can't remember what it was though. Wanna say Carly or something. I'll have to check it out on Netflix. I think the episode was called Legendaddy.

Barney's sister's name is Carly. Dad's name was Jerry Whitaker. So, Ted's wife will be Carly Whitaker. Book it!

In season 1, a stripper walks up to Ted and says that her name is Tracy. It then cuts to Bob Saget talking to the kids and he says, "And that's how I met your mother." He says he's just kidding, but his kids acted genuinely shocked, which makes me think that their mom is actually named Tracy.
