Weird series with touches of Twilight, Pretty Little Liars, one of those vampire series, etc.....

Have watched two. Will watch more, as I want things to see characters/situations to clear up a bit, but am still not convinced.

Those of you who have seen it, what are your opinions?

I started it and lost interest.

If I'm going for dark with vampires and the such I'm going for Showtime's Penny Dreadful.

Tried to watch it when it first came out and I thought it was boring as shite

I'm not really into supernatural stuff like zombies/werewolves/and all that jazz though

Hemlock Grove. It's interesting. Penny Dreadful is better if you have Showtime.

I watched up through about half way of season 2. Its weird enough to keep me interested. The acting is pretty good and there are some good episodes but also some of mediocre ones. I got caught up in some other shows but I'll go back and finish Hemlock Grove eventually as I find the characters pretty interesting.

I watched the first two seasons (all?) of Hemlock Grove. It really isn't very good imo. Ridiculous dialogue, acting, and bizarre storyline. I'm not even really sure why I pushed all the way through it. I guess I was just pretty intrigued by the pulp. There are also lots of quite attractive actresses.

Pretty much the same for me. Not sure I made it all the way through the series (or even the first season), but what propelled me at all was the pulp and the manner in which classic characters and tropes were manipulated. Otherwise, it felt very cheap to me. The pilot in particular seemed poorly shot and put together, almost like a Lifetime movie.

For sure.

That said, more and more things look to be of this ilk, nowadays.

We´re bored, bad weather, must start the grill, get a good bottle of wine for dinner, enjoy some beers while watching something.

What can we watch? Movie or start a new series.

I have seen the majority of what is on Netflix.

I had hoped to watch Usual Suspects, but Netflix seems to have pulled it.

Watch the "Black Mirror" series if you have not done so already.
