Dazed and Confused, although I guess that would be high school rather than middle school.

I don't know about middle school. As far as high school, check the trailer for this movie.

It actually uses people that aren't in their late 20's...

Not really, unless it's common to be a genius, have 3 brothers, and a crazy arse mom.

Wonder years pretty much nailed it because Kevin was just a normal guy. Had one really close friend to go through the ups and downs with, had a girl he was totally infatuated with, and basically dealt with things that middle schoolers go through. I'm an only child but still related to Kevin.

I don't think I related much to Malcolm at all.

Yeah, how can anyone relate to absurdism as "Getting it right"? It'd be like saying Married with Children "got the marriage experience right".

So many things I could relate to with Kevin's love life back in the day. He was SUCH A DUMBASS for not taking it to the next level with Madeline.
