Okay, was Scully eating herself BY herself? Or does Hannibal survive the fall?

Hanniball survives. Too bad the show is dead.

Or did he just cut off her leg and cook it before they went to the house to wait on the Dragon. Hannibal is very good at time management.

Absurd and glorious, like the whole show was.
Bedelia is sitting at a dinner table set for three. She's been carved up by someone else, and she conceals that utensil so she can use it against her host(s) when they come back. Fuller says the scene is just meant to tease a theoretical continuation, which would pick up at that dinner scene. The hosts could be any combination of Will, Hannibal, Uncle Robert (David Bowie) and Lady Murasaki.

Or maybe Bedellia is completely whacko now and cooked her own leg.

that's what I thought, she's just a nut job. That was a great finale though. Mads is such an awesome Hannibal.
For the people who've read the books, was this non-canon? I thought Will retires away and then SoTL picks up where Red Dragon ends and Hannibal is back in that cool cell?
There's a petition with 82k+ signatures to renew Hannibal. Signed it but that's a small number of people LINK
Sounds like Fuller had some great ideas for next season. I still don't get how Amazon passed on it? Maybe Hulu will take a stab...

Basically the whole series was fan fiction. Bedelia is a pure invention, as is the close Will/Hannibal relationship, as is Hannibal consulting for the FBI, etc. However, a great deal was lifted from the books "Red Dragon" and "Hannibal", with the characters often swapping dialogue. You're right about the transition between the two books.

Thought they did a great job then if this was "new" material. The Will/Hannibal relationship was so good and the actors did such a great job.

If I were to finally pick up some books again, I may go with these. I thought about Game of Thrones material but it seems to be too much and I'd get aggravated with the fat man

Beautiful way to end the series. I've never been so happy seeing two men tear apart another.

They wanted to start a new season immediately but Fuller needed to do his commitment to American Gods Season 1 and also didn't want the scripts rushed. So Amazon said they weren't interested.
It sucks because Amazon's really the only one who could have saved it in TV show form since they have the U.S. streaming rights to the previous episodes. This is the reason it was never on Netflix in this country. Perhaps when Fuller is done with American Gods that exclusivity window will be over.

This was such a good show.
A shame people would rather watch bullshite like Big Bang Theory

It'll find its audience over time. Years from now when it's released from the iron chain of Amazon and it finally gets on Netflix, it'll slowly become a retroactive hit.

Oh, well that blows. Seems like Amazon would still want to bring it back after Gods, it has enough of a following to make sense.

Yeah, I think there's a decent chance there will be somebody interested in doing the show down the line. The trick will be getting the cast back under contract.
