I forgot about this show and saw its on Netflix now. I'm halfway through it and its pretty damn funny. I'm bummed it only got one season. Seems like alot of people liked it, judging by the reviews. Why did it fail? Does it get bad?

It failed because Fox is brutal on quirky comedies.

It was one of those shows that was on the bubble ratings wise and it just didn't make it.

I think it got better as it went on and I was sad to see it go. According to Rob Lowe one of the questions execs had was how they would keep the show going without the gimmick getting stale and the supposed solution was each season would be him chasing down a different career suggesting a run for political office might be the theme of season 2. I'm not sure how that would have worked considering most of the cast works at the law office, but I've have liked to see them try.
