I hate when things like this happen. A show/movie is a hit out of nowhere, so then the next season/sequel they double down on it and try wayyy to hard and wind up looking like caricatures.
I agree they made the Ruth character too country and vulgar upon seeing her popularity after season 1.

The fact that Tom Pelphrey wasnt even nominated for any awards (that I remember) is insane. He should have won them all.
He does get to sleep with Kaley Cuoco so I guess he is doing alright,

But the show was great despite these 2 horrible characters
