What was the premise? Have everything possible go wrong in space, have someone who has no idea what they are doing, and still somehow survive? Not to mention her survival comes down to a good ole fashioned eeny meeny miny mo.

Plus the whole Clooney imagination, wtf?

What were the redeeming qualities of this movie? The main, virtually only, character was not even really likable.

It may not be the worst movie ever but expectations wise it's up there with the biggest let downs.

Congratulations on watching it via the complete opposite media it was intended for and judging it as so.

For once, I would like one of these threads to receive zero responses.

Movie was ok, nothing spectacular. However, I could see where it would be a visual experience in the Imax.

right, because a totally immersive and visually realistic depiction of the isolation of being stranded in the expanse of infinite space could never be "spectacular"

Every movie will look this good in 5 years. Yeah the visuals were great in the theater but a coherent plot is still far more important, and Gravity completely missed on that front.

Gravity is the most over-rated movie in recent memory.

Just a terrible movie.

Avatar was boring to me. And its 3D interested me for about 10 minutes. But to each his own.

Gravity, on the other hand, while not a "great" or "unique" movie in terms of plot, was fantastic visually (the 3D wasn't too "busy"). And it was very good at conveying the desperation and isolation of someone in the Bullock character's situation. It was enjoyable.

I took my 10 year old son and his friend to see it in IMAX when it first came out. I thought it was pretty bad arse as a 3D IMAX movie, but honestly, I don't know if I would enjoy it much at home as a "regular" movie.
