He won't. Whether they have it between seasons or not, he needs more training and that actor still isn't ready to be Batman yet.
I like that they're slowly heading there but this show is still about Gotham. I'd rather it stay more Gotham than Batman. For now at least.

I doubt that a switch has been flipped and Bruce is now in full-on Batman mode. I think that was his first step. As Alfred said, he had to have something to focus on as a part of his process. Gotham is Bruce's love, his focus, but it's still the start of a process.
I'm assuming that Barbara will be Harley. I don't have a problem, depending how they depict her.
Butch as Solomon Grundy is perfect. Hoping they do him up right, with the wild white hair and tattered suit. Arrow gave us a tease of Grundy years ago, then never followed through.
