The white walkers are considered to be an ancient race created thousands of years ago by the children of the forest. They've been very far north biding their time doing who knows what? One of those things could be building/creating devices to help them succeed at whatever their end goal is. Having had to deal with dragons before, it's not hard to believe that would be one of their main obstacles. Doubt the WW assumed dragons had died off.

I haven't watched the full episode yet, but I have seen the 2 dragon gifs where Viserion is killed and rises, and I am going to accuse FootballNostradamus of seeing it as well and posting shite on the board:

The way Eastwatch ends with 7 heroes going out to face the WW and wights alone, leaves one with the logical conclusion that they'd have to be saved by Dany and her dragons. Which then logically, with this being GoT, all 3 dragons would not survive. I guessed Drogon because with him being the alpha, it would give even more weight to the threat of the NK. And then logically, why wouldn't the episode end with the NK turning the dragon? It builds tension going forward and is a "shocker" type scene.
This is the last time defending myself on an anonymous message board. Like I've said, D&D have become predictable. It isn't hard to have guessed what would happen. Move on with your life.
