Considering we won't see Ellaria again, I don't think we'll see Tyne's rotting body either.

Without night king and army of the dead, how less interesting would GoT be?

It obviously wouldn't be as interesting but we've seen very little of the WWs and their army. Some of the best episodes had nothing or very little to do with them.

Could it be possible we get a scene like the one when Brienne snuck away from Riverrun and Jaime gave a wave except this time it is Jaime and Bronn sneaking away down the river and Tyrion giving the wave? I know they like to do that. It's been happening a lot this season.

No, if they escape, I see them crawling out of the water downriver and slinking back to KL.

The only question mark I have is
quote:

“Daenerys demands loyalty from the surviving Lannister soldiers
I'm sure that a lot of them will be in the mood to surrender, like after the field of fire, but loyalty?

I think any disloyalty would be quickly identified and extinguished. I'm assuming she would use all those lagniappe troops exclusively for the siege around King's Landing just down the road.

I'm fairly certain the magic that was built into the Wall as a protection is null and void now, ever since the NK was able to grasp Bran in one of the visions.

That one action broke the protective spell of the cave where the TER and the Children of the Forest lived, allowing the WW and the Army of the Dead to attack. My bet is that's what happens to the Wall.

But there is still the physical wall in front of them. How do you think they'll breach it?

I think Cersei is willing to blow up KL just like Arys wanted to. She has to be assassinated. If she was, who would be in charge? Jaime? Great. He'd be more likely to surrender and would never blow up the city.

I thought that Bran being on the other side of the Wall with that mark the Night King gave him would allow them to pass?

Or was that mark just to alert them to where they were?

I don't think breaching the wall will be related to Bran. That said, I have no idea how they're going to do it.

Seems a bit early though, right? I'm thinking it comes down in the final episode of the season.

Oh yeah, Cersei is probably going to either blow up all of KL or do something completely sucidial. This is all been building up for her to go full Mad Queen and have Jamie kill her

I hope Jamie kills her in the last episode.

Either that or the Wall needs to come down.

Something epic should happen.

Wonder if they're going to treat episode 6 as an episode 9. So maybe the wall comes down then

Or maybe the second to last episode of the season since those seem to be more climatic

I just don't see how they only have 8 episodes left. I mean there just seems like there's a lot of story left.

Maybe they'll wise up and do a five episode season 9 or something. Or a three episode season 9. Just seems like the Night King is being built up as the ultimate baddie but they're only going to have to fight him for five episodes, assuming they do a flashforward in the series finale.
