The Boltons had a hand in the death of his only true love. I don't see him just letting that go.

I look at it as multi-tiered for Littlefinger:

1) He knows that if the Boltons want to keep the North, they'll never harm Sansa. After the shite they pulled at the Twins, Roose especially, knows that their hold on the North is razor thin. It's why he agreed to the marriage to begin with. And I promise you she'd frick Ramsay's world up if he tries to do something to her.

2) Littlefinger knows he can't have the North without Sansa back in and that means kissing up to the Boltons for a little while. He doesn't have a large enough army to take them out on his own.

3) Once he has the North under Sansa, he becomes one of the most powerful men in the Seven Kingdoms. Love for Catelyn or not, it's always been about the power.

And I think he's willing to put Sansa is enough of harm's way to get the big prize.

I very seriously doubt LF has any intention what so ever with letting that marriage happen. I have a feeling his end game is to grab control of the north, and get revenge against the Boltons. Plus he's bound to know that Stannis is fixing to march on Winterfell. So hopefully Stannis is the true alliance he's seeking.

First off, Sansa already has the rights to the North. Theoretically her brothers are all dead, so she is the heir to the North, not the Boltons. Forging an alliance with another kingdom would be the match LF would want, since it would give him another army. If Sansa openly reveals herself, then the Riverlands and the North will fight for her (save the Boltons, the Freys, and maybe the Karstarks). It's an absolute shite marriage, unless of course LF is plotting the Red Wedding 2.0. If that's his plan, I'll forgive this stupid plot since that for sure have every Northern house coming to him.

And as far as him counting on Stannis to take the Boltons, that is even stupider from LF's perspective. If there's one person who absolutely despises LF in Westeros, it is Stannis. LF betrayed Ned supposedly because he was going to give Stannis the throne. Then LF negotiates the Lannister/Tyrell alliance, which led to him losing the Blackwater. In the books, Stannis openly talks about LF being cancer to the small council and convincing Robert to do heavily corrupt things for LF's own benefit. And this is just what Stannis knows, and not taking into account if he finds out about him killing his own wife, murdering a king at his own wedding, convincing Joffrey to kill Ned (not confirmed even by book readers although I'm almost sure of it), and murdering Jon Arryn to orchestrate the War of the Five Kings. Stannis would certainly hang LF if he ever got his paws on him, and if they somehow ally with one another in the show, I don't know if I won't flip out over it. It is as preposterous as Batman and the Joker being allies and friends. They are complete opposites and actively wish to destroy the other.

I want so badly to believe that ramsey is going to treat sansa like a queen but all I can imagine is him treating her like a dog and chaining her up in his bedroom all hours of the day and raping her. It makes me really angry this girl can't catch a break.

I'd be more worried about what Ramsey's scorned girlfriend will do to her than Ramsey

Ramsey knows what he's got by being recognized as his son, I don't think he's going to take that for granted

Book LF is not as dark as show LF. The Stanis/LF alliance would not work, especially since LF is somewhat responsible for the debt owed to the Iron Bank, who is backing Stannis.

I guess the real question is does he know about Stannis' plans to march on Winterfell. Because like LF and papa Bolton discussed, who is willing back the Boltons against Stannis' army at this juncture? The Lannisters are in no current position to back them. Does LF currently have enough pull in the Eyrie to truly back the Boltons in an all out war with Stannis' army? I doubt it at this point.

If he doesn't know about Stannis' intentions, then I could see him being willing to let her marry Ramsey. But if he has caught wind of Stannis' plans, then I'm betting he has other plans for Sansa being in the North.

Both versions would never work together. Seriously, those are the two characters in the universe I could ever see working together willingly. Stannis would for sure kill LF in both mediums.

Considering that Stannis has pretty well sold his soul to a Red Witch and forsaken his vows to his own wife, helped birth a Shadow Baby to kill his own brother, and has done some rather unsavory things in the name of keeping himself the "Rightful King" I honestly don't think he's above an alliance with Littlefinger until he reaches a point where he can take him out.

And I really don't know that any of us can say for sure what he would/wouldn't be willing to do to drive the Boltons out. He may look at it as revenge for them forsaking Robb Stark and that makes it "ok".

Maybe I missed it, but I don't recall them playing up Stannis's hate for LF on the show. In the books, yeah. But I didn't know that Stannis figured out that LF was behind everything that LF was actually behind. Maybe I'm wrong.

But I still don't think he has any intention of allowing Sansa to marry, or at the very least stay married to, Ramsey. He is way to "fascinated" with Sansa, just like he was with her mother.

But still, LF has fricked over Stannis more than any other person. He is Stannis' primary enemy. Everything indicates that Stannis will kill him if he gets his paws on him.

Caitlyn knew that LF betrayed Ned due to him supporting Stannis. Why wouldn't Stannis know that? Plus the whole Blackwater incident, I have little doubt he'd kill LF if he showed up.

I wish they wouldn't have shown that Jorah was in the brothel until the final scene.

Yeah, that struck me as way too early mood killer.

Just show the bracer putting down a drink as the fake Dany walks her arse by.

Then again, they already spoil that he participates in the fighting pits later on in the trailers. So it'll be very interesting how he goes from taking Tyrion in for the bounty/pardon to fighting Maximus style.

But I also think we're about to learn the real reason why Varys is called the spider.

Kind of off topic but I wish they would have been able to originally portray Ramsay on the show as they did in ACOK. I get it would of required to much exposition to explain why he had supposedly been killed but it was a nice book twist.

Been reading Grantlands "ask a Maester" articles from past seasons and it's been a nice way to get some other background knowledge I didn't already know
