Well this is just a nonsense theory. No way the Walkers turn a dragon against them. They could have an Ice Dragon, or Bran could warg into one, or maybe Euron could enslave them with his various Valyrian artifacts, but I don't see any reason to think the Walkers themselves could.

Why do they call them White "Walkers" anyway when they mostly ride on horses?

If anyone got control of a dragon it would most likely be Euron.

Well they're called the Others in the books, but they changed it because of LOST. Guess that was the best they could come up with.

Yeah, the Others magic doesn't seem like it would be effective against dragons. You need Valyrian magic or wargs to be effective against them.

If one of the dragons died would the White Walkers then be able to control it?

I was curious enough to look into this, and it seems that only The World of Ice and Fire refers to them as such, and that was written after the show had premiered.

I would say yes.

What if it dies? You don't think they can raise if from the dead?

Well they got to kill it first. The dragons personality has no relevance then.

No need to turn, they have an army of Ice Dragons at their command already.

Exactly. Why wouldn't they be able to return a dragon from the dead

Of course they could raise a dead dragon. They raise dead horses and dead people, so why wouldn't they be able to raise a dragon from the dead.

And keep in mind that they already showed that dragons are invulnerable with the fighting arena scene, and I'm sure a White Walker ice weapon is far more deadly than spears.

Is this a Hodor or a Maester thread? Because we are getting into possible spoilerish waters.

We don't know about the White Walkers abilities anymore than the show has told us. Hell the show has told us more since we know about their weakness to Valyrian Steel, what their origins are, and the fact that they're somewhat telekinetic. In the books we've only had 3 scenes where the Others actually appear, while we've had way more than that in the show.
