Y'all need to give Christians a chance to get a little better at this movie-making thing.

If by that you mean it is a reflection of how someone like, say, Phil Robertson perceives "reality" the you'd be correct.
People like him arrogantly believe that Christianity is the one and only religion and all others are wrong/evil/immoral. And atheists are venom-spewing assholes that hate everyone and everything.
I have been giving this movie more time than it deserves, but, it sends out so many wrong messages.
