I really enjoyed these, and I'm wondering: is there a better video game turned movie?
Resident Evil comes to mind.
Doom, max Payne, hitman, and Mario Bros all suck.
Am I missing anything good? Maybe a cartoon?

I thought Tomb Raider was a terrible movie.
Besides the ones listed in this thread I'm having trouble thinking of movies derived from games.

i didn't hate doom incredibly. But i really like Karl Urban.
Prince of Persia was mostly sucky, but not entirely. had a little jerry bruckheimer charm.
i keep thinking Last of us, Halo, BioShock, or Far Cry could make decent movies as long as Uwe Boll isn't at the helm.
looking at this list it's pretty sad how few have been decent. warcraft, assasin's creed, and uncharted give me minor hope.
on the not absolute dogcrap category i'd put:

final fantasy: spirits within
ehh, they tried:
