Game of thrones season 3 episode 9: "the rains of castamere" *Spoilers

So I know I'm way behind but I've had to wait on my SO to catch up so we can watch them together.... But good lord this episode was epic. I expected the old guy to betray Rob and maybe even kill his wife but I never expected for Rob and his mother to get killed. I mean dang how was this not the season finale. I begged my fiancé to watch the final episode of the season tonight but she has work at 7 so she went to bed. Hence why I started this thread to talk about it

S03E10 is not as epic. Kind of like the afterglow of a great orgasm.

Michelle Fairly, Cat, put on a hell of a performance inside the Twins' Great Hall

After rob was finally killed, she just yelled and stood there silently for like 4 seconds.. I said out loud "I mean did she have a heart attack and gonna just fall over". Then the dude slit her throat

It's all peaches and butterflies for the Starks after this episode, luckily.

That's what happens when you take up with a foreign whore.

I mean serious, how un-Stark like was that? He is old enough and was raised well enough to know about vows and marriage arrangements, especially with how his parents wound up together. I find it completely unbelievable that the eldest son of Lord Eddard of House Stark would forsake his vows to take up shop with some nobody southron whore from a lesser house. It's completely out of character.

I agree. Robb has the Lannister forces on the run and he pisses away an important allegiance during the middle of the war for some chick!??
If anything, he would've married a Frey girl and kept Talisa or some side piece like every other ruler in Westeros.

he's not the first and won't be the last guy to let pussy be his downfall

It's quite the opposite. Robb is losing the war and seeing the freys was an attempt to get some men back. Then he was going to try a desperate attempt to capture casterly rock to put pressure on the lannisters.

I'm up to date with the show, I must have missed that episode. I was wondering when they were going to address what happened to Rob and and mom.

It's even more tragic in the books. Rob is injured taking a castle in the westerlands and is nursed back to health by the daughter of the lord of said castle. while recovering he gets word that his younger brothers are killed by Theon. In his grief he sleeps with her. To protect her honor he marries her the next day. So, like his father, he dies for honor as is the Stark way. In the show he dies for love which is less "Stark like".

She had a hot body. Her face, was not.
She actually looks like a guy I went to high school with.

Does that mean that I have a touch of the ghey since I'd bang the living hell out of her?
