SPOILERS SPOILERS SPOILERS

It was pretty obvious the whole movie to me what was going down; esp. after the scene with all the hats on the ground.

Was this billed as some 'crazy twist at the end' type of movie? If so I didn't get it; you could even tell Christian's assistant was him and the setup with the Chinese man 'suffering for his art' in the beginning just reaffirmed what I had already thought especially in the scenes where he would tell his wife 'i don't love you TODAY'. About as subtle as a sledgehammer.

I'm not particularly good at guessing what's going to happen in a movie so I'm curious if other people knew what the deal was early on or if I missed something else...? I figured those assumptions were too obvious and that was what we were SUPPOSED to think and then there would be a complete twist on all that.

Anyway, I enjoyed it for the Tesla scenes but overall I wasn't impressed with how they revealed where it was going early on unless that was the point.

What is the Movieboard's opinion?

No. There is no twist. You know at the beginning that Wolverine is "killed" and you know that he's not using "magic" to do that trick. You also know that Batman is using "magic" and it's likely a twin. The point is the tension and lack of remorse you feel for Wolverine who you should be able to sympathize with. The ending is about Wolverine's discovery, not the viewer.

Two Batmen against an army of Wolverines?

Actually, that's a fair fight.

It's not supposed to be a twist. The ending is more of just bringing everything together. Showing you how they did it. The whole movie is supposed to be like a magic trick. The whole time you're watching it, you're trying to figure out how they do it/what the twist is. Then they show you, and it's kinda like "oh, well now that I know it's not that impressive." And Borden even tells you the boy in the beginning "Never show anyone. They'll beg you and they'll flatter you for the secret, but as soon as you give it up… you'll be nothing to them." ... which is actually my sig.

The thing I love so much about it is the game of cat and mouse between Borden and Angier. The rivalry, diaries, fake diaries, etc. It's awesome

There really is no "good guy" or "bad guy". Both are so caught up trying to outdo the other that they end up without friends or family until finally only one twin is left.

It's probably her dad. The twin in love with Black Widow is the one who couldn't leave Wolverine alone and wasn't in love with the wife.

It's one of those movies that gets better and better every time you see it. I remember thinking it was ok when I first saw it. It's now become a favorite of mine.

One Batman and one Bateman.

Patrick would never have that hairstyle, though.

It was directed by Christopher Nolan, therefore it is absolutely perfect.

If you dare question that you are a tasteless, ignorant Philistine who knows nothing about filmmaking and are unworthy of having watched it in the first place.

Hard to say. They were both banging the wife (right?)

Yes I know she knew he only loved her some days but they both plowed.

It is the real dad. When they had the conversation in the jail, it is clear that the twin that dies was the one that didn't love their wife.

It's only twist for the people who can't bear knowing the truth of what was in front of them all along bc they want to be fooled.

You mean Maya Hansen? Yep, probably so.

Alfred really pisses me off in this movie for some reason. Batman was obviously trying to save Wolverine and Alfred had him arrested anyways.

Talk about the ultimate betrayal. Alfred turning on Batman. fricking nuts. And this cat says there was no twist.
