Why didn't the real Abe Froman show up at some point?

When you're the Sausage King of Chicago, anything can happen.

All these years, and I've never once questioned that....good question!

Maybe he did, probably figured him as an imposter and threw him out seeing as how Ferris was already there.

I guess being the sausage king in a city like Chicago can be a pretty busy career.

Is sausage king a euphemism?

Probably the same reason Ferris could do all the things he did in just one single work day. First off he took his dear sweet time getting a shower to get dressed, then went back and forth with Cameron on the phone with their little spat. After leaving home, they got started, but first they had to go by the school and pick up Sloane, just to get going. They did have a full day. Lunch at the fancy restaurant; a Cubs game at Wrigley Field; a visit to the Sears Tower, the Art Museum and the mercantile exchange; as well as singing on a float at the Von Steuben Day Parade. And all this does not account for all the time for traveling from place to place, sitting by the pool waiting for Cameron to recover and trying to run back the mileage on the car. (All this in a regular work day.)

Can't think too much about the little things. Just enjoy the movie.

My favorite scene is the parade and Ferris singing on the float. I have to not wonder how they got a PA system on the float and was able to play Wayne Newton and Beatles...and how the marching band brass section knew how to play along with Twist and Shout.

...or why random people in Chicago all knew the Thriller dance routine.

I'm having trouble understanding what you mean...like "THIS happened....gross" or "THIS happened....he's lucky."

I don't know if you're bashing MB or SJP, or neither, or both.

Why did the maitre d' fall for the whole phone scam? Abe Froman obviously either was well known enough to be identified by name or was a regular at the restaurant.

Worst part about this scene is that Mellow Mushroom had FB'sDO trivia one night, and asked the name of the restaurant. Obviously, we said "Chez Quis" but they said it was "Chez Luis." We obviously got the movie out of the car and they played it up on the big screen, and he answers the phone "Chez Quis," and the subtitles say it as well. It pissed me off that they ended up accepting both "Chez Quis" and "Chez Luis" as correct answers.

We were like "Why are you rewarding people for not knowing what a cursive Q looks like?" because people thought that the cursive Q was actually an L (even though he clearly says "Quis" on the phone).

What's even funnier is that the picture I just posted has a file name of "chez luis." Idiots.

Bashing both...I guess. Ferris had a good day, but then he grew up and married a horse
