Spiderman is by far the greatest super-hero.

Superman would be a close second.

On a scale of 1-10 Batman is arse for a super-hero. There's nothing super about him at all. He's an average dude with gadgets.

Spiderman could get easily trashed by batman, iron man,and probably a weak level 1 superhero, one of those kids off sky high could easily work spiderman.

Why? He's ok, not the greatest.

Superman is boring, always has been. Sure he's powerful, but he's so powerful that it's really not at all interesting.

But Batman has BY FAR the best stories and arcs. Spider-man comes close. That's what separates the good characters from the the not so good.

Also, Batman has the best cast of villains, which tells you a lot about the character.

That not so super guy beat Superman in a fight, I think that's a pretty good argument.

I love Caps and he's at his best with the Avengers. His solo books are are kind of average, but as a hero, he's second to Batman for me.

A few years ago I would have agreed with that, but the new series is actually very good. I only pick up TPB's these days, but I've been impressed with Ed Brubaker's work (even though he's killed Cap off).

No offense to Batman, though. He's my second favorite. Year One, The Dark Knight Returns, The Long Halloween, and Hush are some of the best comic stories I've ever read.

A comic book friend of mine keeps me updates, so yeah heard about his death. I might check out the books if I get a chance.

Wow. I guess there arent many Iron Man comic lovers out there. While his stories arent as great as Batman's. I love the both comics because they characters are more human than any other but Tony's alcoholism makes him seem more human in my mind.

Spider-man is a close 2nd but the whole new stoyline erasing that he revealed his identity makes me mad. But I guess Marvel wants one superhero to never reveal his identity
