Favorite soundtracks for a movie/show?

So I have been watching The Wire and I really like the soundtrack. I'm a big fan of rap so I like all the Mos Def and Wu Tang they play but there is a lot of other really good music they play.I really love how at the end of each season they end with a song and a little montage kind of deal. One of my favorite parts.
End of Season 1 montage
End of season 2
I'm currently obsessed with these 2 songs.
Gotta mention Oh Brother Where Art Thou too....great soundtrack.
So what are some of your favorite soundtracks?

LOST is pretty much without question the greatest score ever for a television show. They landed on a gold mine when they got the next "John Williams" Michael Giacchino before he really hit it big. A few of my favorite tracks:
There's No Place Like Home
815 Lands
Life and Death
Ben's Theme
Parting Words
Moving On

Purple Rain has got to be up there. I'll give Train Spotting an honorable mention.

was thinking 'trainspotting' but completely forgot 'purple rain' was also a soundtrack ... 'big lebowski' has 2 covers on it that are outstanding - townes van zandt does a cover of the stones 'dead flowers', and the gypsies do a cover of 'hotel california' ... cause the dude hates the eagles, you know ... 'pulp ficion', also ...
for original, i'd put in morricone's 'the mission', ry cooder's 'paris, texas', and 'blade runner' ...

TV Show? "Lost" by Michael Giacchino is just awesome.
Movie? Can't go wrong with "Sideways" by Rolfe Kent.
