Favorite box office bomb?

Here's a strange one for you: of the box-office bombs... movies that lost tons 'o money... are there any that you think were still good? I mean, really good?
My vote: the 13th Warrior. A flawed gem of a movie, the result of fighting between director John McTiernan and author Michael Crichton, with a fantastic cast and soundtrack (from the late great Jerry Goldsmith). Still one of my favorites, but lost enough money to bankrupt a small country, grossing $61 million on a $160 million budget. But I watch it often. A favorite to watch with my late brother.

I enjoy the hell out of Battlefield Earth, but I know it ain't a good movie.
It's budget was 74 million but it only grossed 30 million.

I don’t know how if they were truly bombs but I enjoy the heck out of Waterworld and Kong: Skulk Iskand.

Master and Commander counts. Technically, its box office exceeded production budget, but this fails to take into account promotion and theater take. It probably lost money.

White Squall
Its reviews were mixed when it was released, and it only grossed a little over $10 million on a budget of $38 million, but I still thinks it's an entertaining and highly rewatchable movie.
Honorable mention from the same year: The Ghost and The Darkness.
Budget was $55 million, but only grossed $38 million. Michael Douglas' character is a little cartoonish, and Val Kilmer's Irish accent fades in and out, but being based on a true story helps the buy-in factor. It looks and sounds great as well.

Was fight club considered a bomb? It didn’t do great in the box office.

I like the movie Paycheck with Ben Affleck and Uma Thurmond. Great premise, action packed and keeps you guessing till the very end.

I think it made money vs box office but not much compared to the people involved.
Mine would be Michael Mann's The Insider. Good movie that came out at the end of the 90's with Russel Crowe and Al Pachino and still didn't make money in the theatrical run.

Be Cool with John Travolta. Watched it the other day, better than expected

Looks like it made $100m and cost $63m to make.

I guess it depends where you look.
IMDB:

Budget:$90,000,000 (estimated)
Opening Weekend USA: $6,712,361, 7 November 1999
Gross USA: $29,089,912
Cumulative Worldwide Gross: $60,289,912
I am ASSUMING cumulative WW gross includes the US.

I loved Mega Force as a kid. I made my mom rent that for me at least once a month.

Evan Almighty.
I don’t care what critics say, I like it.
