Is this going to be like True Detective with a new story? Or do you have to watch season 1 in order to watch and understand season 2?

New story...but I believe they did reference the happenings in this season in the first season. So it is in the same universe.

Is the first season available for streaming anywhere? The show looks really good but I hate jumping in the middle of a show.

Look like Hulu has exclusive rights to season 1. Sucks as I only have Hulu. I caught the first episode a week or so ago and it was really good. Cant find it without paying for it.

Thanks. I only have Netflix and Amazon Prime. However, I was looking at getting Hulu soon anyway since they're the only ones that will have the 11/22/63 series.

Absolutely excited. Very nice cast. I have no doubt they will do a much better job of producing an excellent second season than the "brain trust" did with true detective.
