Watched it during Christmas Eve late last night. Loved it even more than I had my first time. For years I was told it was Kubrick's worst but I disagree! There is so much meat on this bone. What is the movie really about - matrimony & fidelity? A statement about true wealth? Secret societies and sex trafficking? Or is it one big surreal dream as the title suggests?

What is the rainbow?!?!

To me it's a perfect way for Kubrick to end his career. Thoughts?

Great movie with all the depth of Kubrick's previous works. Highly enjoyable every time I see it.

I really liked it. Had a weird but interesting vibe. Not sure why it gets the hate it does.

My friend’s fiancé was an extra. Her tits are prominently shown in the orgy scene.

Late 30’s. Round 2 for both. They’re perfect for each other so no judgement here

Barry Lyndon has the best cinematography of all time. Just from a technical perspective its pure genius. I think the movie is great all around too.

Really a 2-pronged set of issues with this film.

1st off, the general public was a bit repulsed by a lot of the plot's suggestions, it was all too weird and disturbing for a "mainstream hit" (and yet starred Cruise and Kidman, who were THE star couple then).

2nd, I think it hit too close to home for a lot of powerful people, and suspect there was a coordinated effort to discredit it.

It’s a glimpse into a world we will never see and one that most don’t believe exists. Kubrick has been telling us that it does as far back as Lolita. I find it fascinating to watch.
