Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007

Excellent documentary that any Bond fan should see. It's available on Netflix streaming.

the one that traces the production and legal history with cubby and the other guy and then the other other guy got sean connery involved and was going to make a competing movie?

Thought to be Ian Fleming's main inspiration for the character of James Bond, Sidney Reilly is often referred to as the original "gentleman spy," though given that he was once married to three women at the same time, that's a rather loose definition of the term.

"Sidney Reilly, Ace of Spies" was a ten part series on PBS a long time ago.
