The only thing I didn't like about this movie was the look of the Mimics. They could have done a much better job there

This was my biggest problem with the movie. They looked poorly designed.

Also the way they deployed troops in the film seemed impractical.

On a different note...

One of the best action movies I've seen in a long time and easily one of my top 20 favorite movies it hasn't gotten old on rewatch.

Judging by this write up...it was a rip-off of The Game of Death with Bruce Lee too.

But I think we should be a little more cautious using that term...otherwise, Tarantino is a huge rip-off artist as well.

Its adapted from a short story called "All You Need Is Kill." Its a quick read.

I loved the movie. One of the best sci fi movies I've seen in a while. The action and pacing were fantastic. Cruise, just about the time you think he's done, he puts up one of these.

Great movie. I think I really enjoyed it because I went in knowing almost nothing, I thought they were fighting other humans before watching it.

I really like how they made Cruise's character completely inept at first.

They say Phil Connors was stuck in the loop in Groundhog Day for around 8 years.

I wonder how long Cage was stuck in it to become a badass?

Those are the two that came to my mind when watching. I really enjoyed it.

Edge of Tomorrow was great.

They weren't afraid to be silly, like Tom's ridiculous screams every time he died.

I'm not sure whether that movie is underrated or simply overlooked. I fear that Edge of Tomorrow is going to end up the same way.

A lot of Americans are weirded out by Tom Cruise. This was a well-written, well-cast movie that received good reviews, but did much better financially overseas than in the US. Amazing to think of how much more of a draw he was in the American market before he went and jumped all over Oprah's couch.

Why would you think Cruise is done? His films knock it out of the park consistently. Unfortunately they fricked up the marketing for this one and it bombed domestically.

Yup, Edge of Tomorrow sounds like a soap. They tried to rebrand with "Live Die Repeat" but too late.

It was a really good film with a really bad title.

I don't think it was too late. They rebranded for the international release.

For what it's worth, it's listed under "L" on domestic redbox kiosks.

I enjoyed the movie. However it just seems that every alien force is 10X's smarter than us but they always have the same weekness. The ole "you run this way and distract them while I kill the main alien force. Works every time.

Cruise is a big no go with a lot of people due to his Scientology beliefs. Doesn't really matter if it has good marketing or not. Lots of people just don't like the guy anymore.
