Where is this coming from? This is the only movie I disagree with the majority on. I believe you have me confused with Carson who hates everything

I like Sandra Bullock... in roles that fit Sandra Bullock.

I hate Sandra Bullock in dramatic roles that are clearly too good for her caliber of acting.

Can't speak for others, but I don't really hate her. I don't like her though. Annoying voice, undeserved Oscar (Don't really blame her that much for that, but since I can't single out the assholes who voted for her, she gets it), the whole media proclaiming her America's sweetheart because Jesse James cheated on her (Was she really that stupid to believe the guy who was tagging porn stars, strippers, and hooters girls was a swell guy?), and the fact that she is getting roles that other more talented/attractive actresses should be getting because she somehow got to the A-List (even before The Blind Side).

It's probably because you still think/believe that I am somewhat that I'm not.

Still looks to be more spectacle than substance, but I still look forward to downloading it.

I don't know what the frick is going on in that trailer but I do know that satellites do not orbit in proximity that close to each other. And I do know that after that initial collision, everyone should be dead and riddled with holes from tiny pieces of debris

Bingo.

If Michael Bay had done this movie - As in the same final product, just with his name as the director rather than Cauron's - then you know the response would not be the same and it would get massive criticism.

Don't trust critics folks. You want to know how a movie is, go see it. If you are a penny pincher, then ask a close friend. Hell read up on what the director was going for and decide from there. If you know what they were going for then chances are you'll know if you like it before you even see it.

Because people think it's "cool" to hate on her.

You can keep saying it, but it couldn't be further from the truth.

I love Sandra Bullock. Not as an actress so much as she's just lovable.

This is is a huge reason people hate that count.

She's a shitty actress, but people love her, because..... well, I really don't know why. And because people love her for no good reason, us that dislike her get sick of having her crammed down our throats. Admittedly, it hasn't been as bad recently, but for a while, it was really bad. To the tune of her winning an undeserved Oscar. It culminated with us basically being forced to feel sorry for her because her husband fricked other bitches. That doesn't make you "America's Sweetheart". A bitch getting this designation is supposed to at least be attractive. SB is not. I could tolerate an average at best actress (but still better than SB, IMO) getting this designation for many of the same reasons as SB, when she was at least good looking, and named Jennifer Anniston.

I'll admit to liking SB in Speed. That was a good role for her. The frumpy, witty, bus rider put in that situation, and she did very well with it.

She's been shitty in everything else I've been unfortunate enough to waste my time and money on viewing

There's a reason she was the 6696th choice for this, and I'm sure that they still could have found someone much better.

That being said, based on the reviews, and the potential for this to be visually spectacular, I will probably be forking over the $30 for 2 IMAX 3-d tickets, and preparing myself for a great movie going experience, in spite of it almost exclusively featuring an actress that I would rather kick in the count than watch on the big screen.
