Gus Van Sant's "Drugstore Cowboy"
(Based on a true story)

Matt Dillon
Heather Graham
Kelly Lynch
with William S. Burroughs as "The Priest"

This movie is incredible, original, and very fun. You'll catch yourself on the edge of your seat rooting for the bad guy. Matt Dillon 'in his prime' portrays "James Fogle" the real life criminal who successfully robbed 91 pharmacies from 1971--1984 for which him & his gang were dubbed "The Drugstore Cowboys."

More people would love it too if they'd watch it. It appears hardly anyone has seen it.

Man, about 20 years ago in Lafayette, I saw a T-shirt that was the scene from the movie between Matt Dillon and William S. Burroughs. I really regret not buying it. I hadn't seen that movie in a long time, but I really dug it.

Depends your age; it was really popular in the early 90's as a rental.

I didn't know it was based on a true story. That makes it seem crazier than it already was for me.

This is one of those movies I've always been curious about but I never see it on or mentioned. I was too young to see it in the theaters and probably wouldn't have been interested anyway. The fact that a young Heather Graham is in it certainly adds to my interest level. Need to find it.
