How many books before Lash and the coins come back into play you think?
Not sure about the coins, but pretty sure Lash will be involved in the next book according to something Butcher said online I read (no link sorry, forget which forum it was on). Think the parasite Harry will have to get out of his head will be part of it myself.

Does anyone have any clues to who the new 'Bearers' of the swords may be? Will they be someone we already know, or will they be someone that will be introduced later?
I think Murph will eventually be one, it's just a matter of time. Wouldn't surprise me to see Michael's son take up his father's sword, it would fit the bloodlines thing for the sword.

You don't understand.
It's not that the plot line is resolved.
It's not even brought up.
Not even in the obvious mystery plot line recap at the end that Butcher always does, in this case to Thomas.
I didn't say that Rashid should know everything.
But he should at least be aware that someone IS summoning them.
I mean we aren't talking about one or two here that stealthily slipped through.....we are talking a large number of them were involved.

Fair enough I suppose. However, earlier you said:
quote:
They made it clear that Outsiders are fairly hard to summon, requiring mortal magic, and specifically mortal magic to happen.
Which book was this said in? I know the two instances where we see them summoned in the books it's by Harry's mentor and the three porn star sorceresses, but the red court vamps also had the outsiders working with them in Proven Guilty. I'm just not remembering any part where Butcher specifically said fairies couldn't summon outsiders.
And Maeve could easily have had her own patsy magic users summoning the outsiders after her infection, much like Thomas's dad did with the said porn star chicks.

It's meationed in several books I believe.
Reread chapter 31 of Dead Beat.
That was the first meation.

Gotcha, been a while since I reread that one, forgot about Luccio and him discussing that.

And wasn't an allusion meationed in a recent book? (Maybe even Cold Days?)
Stating that because only mortals can summon them, it's especially important for the White Council to keep an eye on that aspect. Would matter less if a random fairie could bring one up on a lark.
"It is the only Law to have a member of the Senior Council devoted solely to enforcing it."
Although to be fair, that statement was made when Dresden thought the Outer Gates to be metaphorical.

That part of Cold Days was pretty amusing. And yeah, that statement was made when he had no clue what the Gatekeepers job really was.

Well, even with this being the case, it clearly can't be that difficult to bring them through with the right sacrifices. I mean some random porn star skanks with little talent were going to bring freaking He Who Walks Behind through with Raith guiding their hands.
