Dr. Ellie Sattler was a punk arse hoe who deserved to be eaten.

1. She flirts with two men in the show, but commits to neither.
2. It's insinuated her and Dr. Grant are together, mainly by him and she drops hints of long term commitment. Specifically by trolling him with the children. Making sheepish looks about how interaction with them will be good for him long term. She is testing his suitability as a father.
3. She abandons Dr. Grant and Co. on the tour, leaving him to supervise the children, to rake through triceratops shite for no other reason than her own interests. She then later in the show lectures John Hammond for doing the same shite she did 20 minutes earlier in the show- pursuing own interests.
4. Dr. Grant takes responsibility and saves the children, proving his suitability for long term commitment. This despite Ian Malcolm's best efforts to one up his plan and utterly failing under a pile of bamboo rubbish.
5. Dr. Ellie Sattler forgets Dr. Grant's heroics and marries some other guy, popping out his babies in JP III. She didn't even give the blowjob for saving their lives.
All this leaves me to believe and conclude that Dr. Sattler was one trick arse hoe.

That whole sequence didn't make sense to me. I figured it was some nerd game to touch a girls hand.
Maybe I should add a bullet point of "Allowing failing nerd flirt game to be dropped and encouraged by her in Dr. Grant's presence just to piss him off."

She completely abandoned Dr. Grant and ripped his heart up. He singlehandedly saved two kids after she manipulated him.
She then makes comments to Hammond about how gender roles in being a hero. But guess what? The next scene she jumps at the chance to take off running to the shed while she leaves homeboy out there to fend off the Raptors with a shotgun.
She is a manipulative, hypocrite. For that, she deserved to be eaten right before the credits.
