Does your DVR report on your recorded viewing?

Call me cautious but I don't like sharing data with big corps. I understand how they build profiles of consumers and targeted ads via cable boxes (as they will survive longer than people think) is the next big thing.
A customized ad experience. You already see this on Hulu, but it's coming to physical in-home media.
Maybe this is a non-discussion point, but it's kind of bothersome. And the type of thing Comcast would pull on its customers.

This is the whitest, white person problem ever posted on this site.

Lol I also don't use a DVR or Hulu, I hate commercials. So I don't use apps aside from ESPN3, that have them.
It is terrible whenever I watch LSU on ESPN3 and I have to watch the teen depression ad like 500 times over three hours.

Everything you do electronic that's connected to the net is reported. Everything. Fact.

Yes. The Nielsen books that you used to get in the mail are going the way of the dinosaur. Tracking companies now pay the cable and satellite companies to find out what you're watching.
