Just started this series on Netflix starring primarily Bill Hader and Fred Armissen and two episodes in I say it is fantastic.
It's very funny and these two guys have great comedic chemistry.
The format is 20ish minute spoof documentaries on a range of subjects, I highly recommend to fans of documentaries, Portlandia, and/or Bill Hader, who I feel maybe hasn't gotten his due as far as being recognized as a premier comedy talent.

I'm a big fan of Fred and Portlandia. Doc Now had some funny moments, but I didn't get excited for the next episode to come out. It's worth checking out to see how it hits you.

I don't know how this stayed under my radar before Netflix but I loved it. The only episode that didn't land for me was Iceland.

Agreed on the Iceland episode but that damn cartel episode with Jack Black was really funny to me. When they walked out in those boots, I woke my wife up laughing.
ETA: and the Blue Jean Committee.

I've had Catalina Breeze stuck in my head for days.

I love portlandia as well but this isn't that good despite wanting it to be.
The Thin Blue Line spoof was well done but how much can you laugh at police corruption and ruining someone's life out of vengeance and cops threatening to kill an American citzen if they didn't sign a confession while using paid perjuror witnesses to send someone up the river for 12 years?
That's really not comedy material to spoof despite well done production values.
The only funny episode were the hipsters from Vice...who casually go into situations they don't understand.

Semi spoiler alert.
The ending of the first episode with the crazy ladies freaked me out way more than it should have I think. Hader plays a very convincing 50 year old crazy lady

I've watched that DRONZ episode three or four times and it still kills me.

Was great. Particularly DRONZ and the Blue Jean Committee episodes.

I feel these are funny 5 minute sketches drawn out to 25 minutes. Though I do appreciate them mocking specific documentaries, usually with love.

It's weird to me that those two are such best friends, since I can't stand Fred and think Hader is one of the funniest people alive.

I really enjoyed it.
I think the first episode is slightly slow with a big payoff at the end.
The Vice parady and the Blue Jeans Company 2 parter are both great.

Hader as the crazy woman was hilarious. The end of that episode was crazy too.
Rewatched Blue Jean Committee 1&2 over the weekend and laughed my arse off again. The first time Hader hits the high notes is too much.
