I think we can all agree TDK is at least a top 3-5 superhero movie of all time. Had great characters, plot, look, etc.

Do people go into superhero movies looking for the next TDK and not just take it fwiw as a superhero movie?

I haven't seen BvsS yet, but if it has at least decent action and decent acting, I'll probably enjoy it

TDK isn't really a superhero movie.

The Dark Knight did to Superhero movies what Appetite for Destruction did to 80's Metal. It was the last gasp of greatness for a genre which had run its course. It was a pinnacle of greatness that was so unattainable that people simply picked up their ball and went home. A near perfect album, a near perfect film.

Just kidding. Winter Soldier was also really good, as were both X-Men: First Class and Days of Future Past. X-Men Apocalypse and Civil War both look extremely promising as well.

I really want to see it. Unfortunately, all of my friends saw it the week it came out, so now I'm basically screwed until it comes out on video.

No. It had a good villain but it was never the masterpiece people claim. Good movie yes. Broke the mold? Nope. Not even close.

Yeah, I have no interest in the new batman movies, whatsoever. The Nolan trilogy set the bar too high and ,IMO, to duplicate the entertainment and story value is unattainable.

I would be lying if I said I've never gone to see a movie by myself, but I find the experience kinda hollow if you don't have someone to share it with. Just my opinion.

Nope. It isn't even a superhero movie.

However, I do think DC has approached each film in an effort to remake TDK. I don't think Marvel has even come close to trying. Not even with Winter Soldier. And I would prefer my superhero movies to, you know, try to be superhero movies so I certainly don't go in looking for the next TDK.

Are you talking about casual movie goers that go to see these big blockbuster movies or the comic folks who take these movies seriously?

I'm not a comic guy and actually preferred MoS over TDK.

Knowing the comics, I highly disagree with this. I'd say out of my Top 10 favorite Batman villains, only slightly over half have made it to the big screen. Really, I'd like to see Batman turn into a Bond franchise if it were possible with the occasional trilogy.

Why would you say it's not a superhero movie?
