DB Super is going to be terrible if Bruce Faulconer is not doing the music.

That was the best thing about it. The Japanese music is terrible. The music ruined God of Destruction.

Yeah the only reason people have been obsessed with DBZ for the last 20 years is because of the music. No one cares about the story or the characters, that's all secondary.

Also, from what ive read the animation and the suspense is terrible compared to DBZ. What a disapointment. How could the animation be worse than it was 20 years ago?

Plus, apparently the writing is terrible compared to DBZ. I was excited about watching but I think I might just skip it.

Im pretty sure they are using the japanese blu ray rereleases for these so the animation will be better, but in terms of the music, yeah its not as good as the old falconer score

Why does the music matter in any movie or show?
The music made it great. It made the scenes emotional. It created suspense. It helped define characters, especially Vegita.
It is one reason why I dont watch Dragon Ball Z Kai. The music is terrible. It is not the same.
ETA: The animation did look fine.

I do agree with you the music was awesome on DBZ. I've watched every episode of DBS and believe it or not some of the later music is really nice. Give it a chance.

I just started watching the Japanese version and am having trouble getting into because the voices sound so soft and goofy that it takes away from the seriousness/intensity of the battles. Just watched the scene where vegeta loses it after bulma gets slapped and as he's punching he's making some kind of "dadadadadada" sound that sounds retarded

You are talking about the Japanese version music though correct?
The funimation episodes are sure to have different music than the Japanese version I am assuming. It was hard to tell in that first episode but i was assuming that that was funimations new music.
