Season 1 was great. After that each season has gotten worse and worse. The production style was different on Season 1 as well and they changed it to this goofy version since.

You’re right, maybe they’re trying to widen the audience but wrestling has a pretty large and loyal fanbase plus they’re knowledgeable when it comes to the subject so I think you could keep them engaged without changing the formula.

I gotta say the Harley Race one was pretty boring to me. I've always known the name but never knew much about him so I was looking forward to it, but outside of just saying he was tough there wasn't really much going on

I’d say the biggest problems are stories to draw people in outside of just a tight niche of the wrestling community.


They can’t all be about WWF or WCW / Jim Crockett Promotions but certain shite (FMW, Rob Black, Nick Gage, etc) is extremely niche.


OTOH, Herb Abrams’ UWF is also niche but it had the car crash appeal of Herb’s personal life. What can you say about an episode including the line “He died doing what he loved… hookers and blow.” in a serious sentence?
