re: Daredevil Season 2 Thread [Spoilers]

I see a lot of people saying this wasn't as good as season 1.

I think it was much better, and frankly the best the Marvel Cinematic Universe has ever been.

At first I wasn't enjoying S2 as much but ep 3 started to turn me and by ep 5, I was hooked.

I enjoyed both the Electra and Punisher inclusions.

I am so glad he had his helmet fixed.
Now it looks like Daredevil.

Just finished season 2. Netflix knows how to pick them. Show is incredible. Felt a bit toony and Smallville-ish at times, but overall extremely impressive.

I will say I hope they have the nerve to take some chances and not go strictly by the comics.

The Elektra storyline was pretty heartbreaking, but you knew it was coming. If what the other posters say is true vis a vis her coming back soulless and evil, will make it even worse.

Such an awesome series. Not sure if I missed this thread the first time around, but Season 2 absolutely topped Season 1 IMO. I can only take so much of Foggy's patheticness so him getting less screen time was a gamechanger for me.

What else can you say about the Punisher? The character and the actor were absolutely perfect. I also usually think the philosophical banter between villain/hero is pretty lame, but him and Matt's back and forth was awesome and actually felt real.

I'm so turned on by Elektra. That chick is liquid sex in an arse-kicking package. I also thought her and Stick's storyline/arc was as well-done as any I've seen on TV in a while. I'm not a comic dude so Idk any of the backstory going in, and I was aghast at how it all came together. So sad and so well-done.

Those fight scenes dude, wow! As much as I love GOT's overall storytelling (and yes I know karate is different from medieval knight fighting), but for the most part so many of the GOT fights have been awful compared to the beauty and savagery of DD (outside of Battle of Bastard). Idk if some of the characters are just horribly unathletic, but all Jamie fights blow, Brian is painful, and don't get me started on the Sand Snakes. I used to think part of it was just the natural limitations of female fighters, but I believed every second of Elektra kicking those dudes' asses. She's unreal.

Really hope Elektra has to get naked for them to bring her back to life. That's how Season 3 needs to start!

Ha. I think I was about 8 or 9 episodes in and I told my wife that they seem to have toned down the violence this time around.

I think Netflix should have really paid more attention to their Marvel release schedule. Happy Luke Cage is about to start, but then nothing until Punisher in April. Iron Fist and Defenders is supposed to air in 2017 but no idea when. 2018 is a long time to wait for Daredevil S3 and Jessica Jones S2.
