I had no idea this was being made. Original Netflix film arriving Feb 26th. The cast included Michelle Yeoh, Donnie Yen, Jason Scott Lee. The trailer looks like it has some incredible fight choreography so I will have hope until proven otherwise. The original film remains one my top 10 films to this day- so let's hope it is something worthy.

NetFlix's current MO is to see who/what their users are watching, then give the popular creators/actors money to make the popular types of movies/shows. It should be well done.

Yuen Wo Ping directing, so at least the fight choreography should be good.

I don't like that shot of the CGI'd people on the pagoda though. That stuff always looks too obvious

This remake of Bad Moon Rising is a fricking abomination and should be stricken from existence with the quickness.

That plot made no sense to me whatsoever. I was expecting something fantastic. Seem like your typical run of the mill martial arts film we use to see on Saturday afternoon matinees.

Reminds me of the super shitty CGI fight scene in Blade 2, and that was made 14 years ago.

Or the matrix or LOTR or whatever other movie.

At least LOTR kept it to a minimum when they could.

They should just realize that whenever people are CGI'd in an action sequence it will look shitty, and they should quit doing it.

Blade 2 and Matrix 2 are the worst I can remember in otherwise decent movies.

Love the original. Hope they don't screw up the second one.

Being that it's a wire fu film, isn't it supposed to have that look?

Don't be so ridiculous!! The original looked to be the height of reality and contained no cognitive dissonance whatsover! I have practiced balancing on bamboo stalks and now have but to barely think before flying over rooftops.

I'm exited because I am a fan of the first film and the genre,

But this first film was nominated for 10 Academy Awards and won 4, this obviously isn't that.

That looks terrible compared to the original.
