Ned had no intention of Jon's heritage coming out period, it's not like he was going to try and usurp his buddies crown. He was just trying to keep his sisters child safe, not create a secret heir. There would be no need for paperwork, and Rhaegar would have thought he would be back after the battle, not be writing paperwork for who knows to find. He didn't even have a child when he left, how would he be leaving paperwork about him?
How long did it take you guys to decide to pick up the books again and reread after your first reading?
It's been over a month since I'm finished and I'm kind of wanting to go back at them up again. I was going to wait until we got closer to the next season, but I don't know if I can wait that long.
Which would make the Aegon Blackfyre/Jon Connington arch all the more tragic.
I think a very underrated Blackfrye element is all the Houses that will rise up for Aegon when they know who he REALLY is.
quote:There still might be some who support the black dragon very secretively. Davos talks to the guy about how his lord supported the Blackfryes. Some houses will support any dragon because they want stability.
think you would see a lot of minor houses. Most of the ones that declared Blackfyre were greatly reduced.
