Christmas with the Kranks

This has turned out to be one of my favorite Christmas movies. Is it cheesy? Of course. The level of talent in this movie is damn good. Tim Allen, Jamie Lee Curtis, Dan Aykroyd, etc.

Without Aykroyd I'd be 50/50 on this but as usual, he is fantastic playing the snobby guy. So a mild yes.

It’s a low tier Christmas movie for us, usually knock it out early.

Hard to dislike much that Tim Allen did during his prime.

Ehh for me Christmas w/the Kranks is right there in Deck the Halls territory. They really only sort of hold attention b/c of the (wasted) talent of the cast.

I enjoy Deck the Halls, but don't necessary disagree with your assessment of it.
I never could get into Christmas with the Kranks. I've tried on more than one occasion, and have just given up.

It does have it's moments I'll give it that. The over the the top Christmas lights are fun to look at and the "Who's your daddy scene" cracks me up.
Who am I to judge though? I like Surviving Christmas and watch it every year now.

I watched this last night for the first time because of this thread............this movie is fricking terrible

The neighbors are horrible outside of that lady who's dying of cancer. If he was Jewish or Muslim would they still act like that to Tim Allen's character?
