So the show ended in 1993 and in 2018 it will be 25 since the last episode, so what a perfect time to do a reunion show.

All of the main characters are still alive:
Ted Danson ---------- Sam Malone
Kelsey Grammer --------- Frasier Crane
Rhea Perlman -------- Carla Tortelli
John Ratzenberger ------ Cliff Clavin
George Wendt ------ Norm Peterson
Woody Harrelson ------ Woody Boyd
Kirstie Alley ------- Rebecca Howe
Shelley Long --------- Dianne Chambers
Bebe Neuwirth ------ Lilith Crane
Paul Willson ----- -- Paul
Jackie Swanson --------- Kelly Boyd

Those that have died since the show ended (because Coach died season 3) were Robin Colcord and John Allen Hill.

If you watched Frasier then you know Sam, Woody, and Carla still worked at Cheers. That Rebecca divorced Don and was now a drunk at Cheers. Norm still visited while Cliff quit going (although later on, it seemed he started going back.) Cliff had finally retired from the postal service. Woody and Kelly had two kids a boy and a girl.

I mean they could do a reunion show where Sam is finally selling the bar to retire and all of the gang comes back. Even bring the gang from Frasier as only Eddie the dog has died since that show ended. So you could appeal to two different popular shows from the 80's and 90's.

Even a show where they get together because Woody and Kelly's kid get married or something. Seems like it would be a time and a place since they show was pretty entertaining and still entertaining today.

Now that CSI is over none of the main characters have any long term commitments either I believe.

As a rule I'm not a fan of reunion shows but Cheers is one I would definitely watch.

They way it ended it was perfect, so you knew everyone just went back to work the very next day. There was no big cliffhanger, no big death, and no life altering moment. So it could pick up exactly where it left off, just add the bits from the show Frasier that were filled in.

It's just stunning when you see the math laid out so plainly. All I remember thinking in 1993 was "man, Cheers has been on for a LONG TIME". 11 years.

It is on Netflix, I usually watch the series once a year from start to finish.

It is probably one of the few shows that really holds up after all of the years. I mean it tackled issues such as alcoholism, homosexuals, greed, gluttony, etc...

I really prefer that latter seasons to the early seasons. In some quarters, it's heresey, but I think they really hit their stride after Rebecca settled into her character. The later years with the Frasier character were just preposterously well done. I still say they went out on a pretty big high - the final season was really awesome.

I don't think Woody would ever play that character again.

Rebecca got a divorce from Tom Berenger? Didn't know that.

Should have the cast of Seinfeld visit the bar. That would be a ratings monster

Why he reprised the character years later on an episode of Frasier

I liked that they hooked up. That's when she was sexy.
