I can't believe "Johnny Quest" has never beem made into a feature film...It's a damn near perfect cartoon for the younger crowd.

Not a cartoon but they need to remake Legends of the Hidden Temple as a horror movie. My man is trying to put those three pieces of the monkey together but just can't figure it out before that mummy comes and smokes his arse.

I’d say Berserk but I’m afraid Hollywood would screw it up somehow.

Exactly. I just picture the Rock as Race and Gary Oldman as the Dr.

Battle of the Planets would be interesting. And don't come at me with that half-cocked G-Force nonsense from the mid-90s.

Honest-to-God Gatchaman/Battle of the Planets.

Came here to post this.

Another I’m shocked they’ve never done live action, especially in today’s world, is Captain Planet

Nah...

Race should have been Brad Pitt.

Dr. Quest should have been Edward Norton.

And just because...

You need some strong actors if you are going to introduce a 12-14 Year old boy (possibly unknown) to play Johnny Quest. Then you need a good Indian Actor to play Haji.

Later in the Cartoon remakes Race had a daughter introduce (Jessie Bannon).

In this crazy arse world of Diversity I'm not sure a white single father is what the focus groups want to see. I could see "Race Bannon" being a person of color..

The kind of people you would cast as Dr. Quest and Race would also be the king of people you would consider for Reed Richards and Ben Grimm of the Fantastic 4.

Which childhood cartoon has Hollywood successfully turned into a movie? (I mean successful as in it's actually a good movie, not just visually pretty making it successful in China.)

Transformers? (Bumble Bee was pretty good, admittedly.)

GI Joe?

Speed Racer?

Scooby Doo?

Jem?

Aeon Flux?

Ghost in the Shell?

Flintstones?

I suppose "Masters of the Universe" is up for this discussion as well.

Johnny Quest is a perfect idea.

DBZ needs another crack at it with Team 4 Star doing the writing.

Gundams would be badass in live action.

Outlaw Star would make an excellent live action series sorta like the Mandalorian or Firefly.

Gravity Falls would be awesome live action.
