Buffy and Angel

I'm almost finished with season 3 now. Getting ready for the showdown with the mayor and Faith. This show is good on many levels. The dialogue is quick and keeps the story moving all the time. The writing is really good at adapting the analogy of teenage angst with vampires/demons and evil. A lot of fun. Watched season 1 of Angel and it turned out to be better than I thought it would be. A different temperament than Buffy, but enjoyable in the same way.

Angel was canceled a coupled of years too early. They really had something and that genre is not touched upon enough, imho. Reaper and Supernatural on the CW is about the only show that deals with the subject.

I liked Buffy for about the first 5 seasons but I was disappointed in the end. It seemed to become very dark and the writing was definitely not as good. Be sure to watch them all though as you may, of course, disagree.
